We are currently seeking a proficient Testing Specialist to join our Luxembourg team.
In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager to meet functional requirements and oversee testing activities for our software products. Your contribution will be key across the entire application lifecycle—from initial design through to final delivery—actively participating in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of testing activities, including test case documentation, test execution, and reporting, ensuring alignment with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in business analysis by reading, validating, and contributing to the writing of functional and technical specifications.
- Define and maintain test plans and testing strategies aligned with software specifications.
- Monitor the bug fixing process, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Assess production delivery risks and provide relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain detailed documentation of all tests performed, methodologies applied, and processes followed.
- Assist in user training sessions and contribute to the creation and maintenance of user manuals.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated and integration tests into the continuous integration environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC +4) in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid experience as a Tester in a software development environment.
- Strong ability to interpret and translate business and regulatory requirements into testable use cases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Plus (Non-Mandatory):
- Business Analysis: Experience in reading, validating, writing, and creating functional and technical specifications.
- Enterprise IT Competence: General understanding of enterprise IT environments, including virtualization, operating systems, and networking principles.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Java, SQL, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, CSS, Perl, and knowledge of Source Control and Configuration Management tools.
- System Knowledge: Experience with VMware, Unix/Linux environments.
- DevOps Tools: Exposure to continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, and scripting for automation is a plus.
- Test Automation: Experience with GUI test automation tools like Selenium is an asset.
